We are so excited to have you at SharedSpace! When/what is it? My next workshop is I AM CREATIVE on the 8th of July, Saturday 10:30-12:00.
What will we be doing? We start with yin yoga, after each pose we journal. The second half of the workshop will be with movement. We do different sets of movement and journal after each set.
Why? We are always so busy looking for the answers outside of ourselves, when we have all the answers inside us. This workshop allows you the space and time to find your answers from within.
What’s your teaching style like? My instructions are suggestions rather than orders. It is your space and your time. If you would prefer to do something differently, you are most welcome. As long as you are safe, I 'm happy for you to explore what works best for you. We are all unique individuals, what works best for me might be very different to what works best for you.
\How have you put your material together? I learned Yin Yoga from the Yoga People through All Yoga Thailand. It was such a beautiful, eye opening and pivotal course for me. I met Mark England from Procabulary on that course. My awareness of the importance and magic of words and language developed through one on one sessions with Mark. He suggested I do a workshop combining writing and dance, and here I am.
The idea of journaling after stillness came from Kate March, Director and Founder of I AM. She took me through a warm up a few years back where I had to find a position to hold for 5 minutes, then journal after that. I absolutely loved this process and realised that I hadn't written in a long time. This has become a very important part of our creative process.
- how has it helped you? Yin Yoga, Procabulary, I AM have helped me in more ways than I can describe. I have found more stillness, creativity, space and inner peace.
- how will it help others? Very simple. We are all connected. By rising your vibration, you raise the vibration for everyone else. That's why self love is so important. It all starts from within. The brighter you shine your light, the more you encourage others to shine theirs. Would love a world full of bright lights.
- WHO exactly will it help? Everyone! Especially those looking for a safe outlet and communal space, to explore ways to express and let go of emotions.
What is (a) SharedSpace to you? You are your own teacher. I am here to guide you in the questions you ask yourself and your exploration of self. SharedSpace is exactly as the name suggests. A space for people to share. Share how they move, how they heal, how they grow.

What’s the nature of your work?I am the Artistic Director of I AM concepts in Asia. I also perform in all the performances that we create together in Asia, as well as the performances in the Maldives and Sydney.
My background is also in personal training. I have been a trainer for the past 5 years. My training includes Yoga , Pilates, Weights, CrossFit, TRX and Rebounding. In my spare time I love giving back by teaching donation based Yin Yoga classes at Kita Yoga. I think it is always important to be learning, so in Jan I took up Jiu-Jitsu at Jab and I love it.
