Where is SharedSpace?
Our address is 31/F, The Sharp, 11-13 Sharp St East, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. We are literally in the building opposite of Times Square/Lane Crawford’s Pick Up and Drop Off Area for cars. There is currently scaffolding covering parts of our building, but the pop-up sign of The Sharp is easy to spot.
If you are coming by MTR, the closest exit would be Times Square, Exit A.
The name SharedSpace came to us in a word association brainstorm, and just made sense to us.
To us, ‘SHARED’ symbolises the welcoming of different perspectives and disciplines into our community, seeing that there beauty, and room for all sorts of different practices that add joy to one’s life in different ways.
’SPACE’, first and foremost refers literally to our physical space, our studio. But going deeper, we value the space in our hearts to love compassionately, the space to mediate between the personal and interpersonal, the private and communal, and lastly… The space between our thoughts, quietening the mind.
What type of practice is taught at SharedSpace?
We teach a variety of classes, informed by different disciplines such as Dance, Yoga, Parkour and Strength Training. Many of the classes on our schedule work on specific skills, e.g. Acrobatics for Beginners teaches people how to go upside down safely and with confidence, and Strength Training helps with strength building. None of our classes stand alone to represent a complete, diverse physical practice, so we encourage students to learn draw from different teachers and classes at SharedSpace, to develop their personal practice in a unique way.
As a Yoga+Movement studio, we teach a combination of different disciplines - both movement and meditation-based. We see that all traditions and disciplines have positive effects on the body and mind and are beautiful and valuable in different ways. Therefore we are informed and inspired by material from all sorts of teachings. Diversity brings immunity, and varying what we do is so much fun!
We are largely inspired and influenced by Dance, Parkour, Yoga and also love breathwork, meditation, and mindful discussions. We have a great team of teachers here at SharedSpace! Everyone is kind, caring and magical. All our teachers are brilliant at what they do, and always open to learning and growing as well. Everyone offers up a different in-class experience, as informed by our different backgrounds and personalities. We recommend for students to try out different classes, as every class is different!

What are my parking options?
Our building doesn’t have a carpark, but Times Square’s carpark is right down the street so there’s an option!
Do you have showers?
Yes! Just one, but better than none :)
What do I need to bring to class?
We have all the equipment needed for our classes, from yoga mats and blocks to barbells and rings! Come with loose clothes and a towel if you’d like to shower after. If your feet are sensitive, then feel free to bring socks and indoor shoes as well, but generally we like to be barefoot.
Do you have a cancellation policy?
Yes, we do! Please cancel your reservation at least 3 hours before class. We have a HKD100 late cancel fee for our monthly/unlimited members, and those with packages will be charged for the class.
What level are your classes?
All our classes are open level, meaning practitioners of all backgrounds and skill levels are welcome! Our teachers are great at accommodating to each student’s needs.
Do you have basics classes?
If you are a beginner, look out for Katonah Yoga and Strength Training for Beginners on our schedule. Our teachers are welcoming and accommodating, so we do encourage you to try other classes as well!
What do I do if I’m a new?
Welcome! Be sure to check out different classes on our schedule, to get a more accurate feel of what you’d like to work on first. Other than that:
- Come to class 10-15 minutes early.
- Bring socks and training shoes, just in case :)
- Speak to the teacher about any injuries and concerns you might have.
- When moving in class, take your time to learn new patterns, and observe what others are doing if you’re not sure.
- Know you’re in good hands, and have fun!
Do you offer an advanced class?
Our Advanced Strength classes are great for practitioners who have experience in Weight Lifting, Gymnastics Strength Training, to develop their physical practice with more freedom. We recommend the weekend Movement Classes led by SharedSpace founders Clare and Aaron as well.
Do you offer classes in Cantonese/Mandarin? SharedSpace有沒有以廣東話或普通話主導的課堂？
Yes! SharedSpace teachers are all multilingual. Quite a few of us speak Cantonese and Mandarin and are happy to accommodate. Look at ourTeachers page to find out more about each teacher, or email us @ firstname.lastname@example.org if you need more help.
Do you offer private sessions at SharedSpace?

Can SharedSpace hold special/bespoke private group events?
Of course! We love to host all types of special classes and events, both in and out of SharedSpace. Hit us up with your ideas and questions, then let’s play!
Do you have a work/study offering?
Yes, we do! We offer free access to classes and workshops for those who help around at SharedSpace. This is a great opportunity for students and aspiring teachers/coaches to learn about our operations behind the scenes as well.
